Good Evening my dears,
Today I thought I would share with you a few captured moments from around my home, taken on a rainy, quiet and peaceful day, along with giving a little insight into what is filling my heart, life and mind at the moment. I absolutely love reading other people's 'Currently' posts because I really enjoy getting a glimpse into people's lives that they might not mention in their other posts. I thought it was about time I started writing them more regularly, since I like reading them so much! Two of my favourite bloggers, Miss Manda and Miss Angie, share their Currently posts regularly and they are always so interesting ♥
(I love huge rings! Especially ornate ones, the middle one here is my favourite. Sitting on top of some Miss Van pictures that I took out of a magazine and am planning to frame for my wall)
Watching: Of an evening you'll always find Steven and I curled up in bed watching something together, it is one of my favorite 'little things' to do together. At the moment we're watching CSI (I may have a bit of a thing for Grissom, anybody else feelin' the Silver Fox love? I know it can't just be me!), Stargate Atlantis and Deep Space 9. I grew up watching Star Trek with my papa (although I spent most of every episode curled up on his lap under a duvet pretending to be in a spaceship!) and DS9 is one of my favorite Star Trek series. I love Kira (another crush, I fall for everyone apparently!). I also watch Pretty Little Liars and Project Runway, but Steven doesn't enjoy those so I just watch them!
Reading: Even though I haven't started it yet I'm really excited to get stuck into A Course in Miracles! I've seen so many snippets of it and seen it referenced to so many times that I thought it was about time I read it myself. I just finished You Can Change Your Life by Louise L. Hay and I really, really enjoyed it. You can read a bit more of my thoughts on it here.
(I collect carved wooden boxes which I usually find in charity shops. This one was originally from a Tea Room that is actually in my home town which gave me a giggle since I found it where I live now, 2 hours drive away!)
Listening to: At the moment I am really enjoying listening to Adam Lambert, his songs are so upbeat, energetic and catchy and I love listening to them whilst I'm working. I'm also really into Beyoncé's song Why Don't You Love Me right now, the beat is amazing. Other than that you can usually find me rocking out to Supernatural themed mixes on 8tracks, a little bit of AC DC is good for the soul!
Wearing: Anything with a floral pattern or in bright colours. I love wearing Orange, Yellow, Green, Purple. I've been wearing sleeveless dresses with badges on the pockets, my new boots which look just a little bit cowgirl, and I also pulled out one of my favorite jumpers and wooly slippers since the nights have been getting cooler.
(The elusive Bear who only lets me take his picture rather occasionally. He is such a cutie, I can't resist ♥ )
Eating & Drinking: I've just started drinking Yerba Maté after hearing people rave about it for so long, and I'm really glad I finally bought some because it is delicious. It tastes (in my opinion) like a stronger version of Green Tea crossed with Oolong Tea, and it is a lovely green colour. I've also been making juices with lots of fruits and veggies packed in, and they make such a difference in my life. I recommend juicing to everyone!
I've been hit by the mega cravings this week so I've been eating lots of pasta! I love pasta. Tonight I'm making a meal with Courgettes, Mushrooms and Spinach in Tomato and Basil sauce with Pasta and I cannot wait, it's delicious.
Thinking About: Lately I've been thinking a lot about my business, both Moss & Magic (my Etsy shop) and Barefoot Therapies (my holistic healing business). I've been thinking of ways to continue expanding and growing, new stock ideas, and also reading lots in order to learn new ways to help my clients.
I'm also thinking a lot about Autumn clothes! I absolutely adore the colour Orange and I have been finding some gorgeous Orange pieces online lately. This year my clothing has been all about bright colours and dresses, and it looks like I'm set to continue on this path into Autumn and Winter.
(Candlelit altar, one of my favourite spaces in our house. The artwork is by the lovely and talented Naomi von Monsta and the Mermaid on the left is by equally lovely and talented Liselotte Eriksson)
Inspired By: I am feeling super inspired by the amazing people I meet, especially when we meet totally out of the blue. It sends tingles down my spine, that feeling of being fated to meet somebody if only for 10 minutes. I'm also feeling inspired by bloggers such as Hillary of Spirit Soul Earth, Laura of Roots and Feathers, MacK at SoulMakes and the folks over at LoveInfinitelyProject. I also love connecting with my gorgeous Steffie (our spirits are super in sync to the point where we can mentally call each other now, it's great!) and thinking about what she might be making. She is always up to something new!
Doing: At the moment I'm mostly working, working and more working interspersed with Guilty Pleasure T.V and occasionally curling up in bed, pretending to be a bear and falling asleep under the duvet. I also feel really on a roll with my blog posts at the moment, and I've been painting faeries again which I'm really excited about. Sometimes it's very quiet for faeries in our house, and then I don't paint them (because I paint who's there) but there seems to be lots of them about at the moment, for which I'm glad.
(I love taking photos of different colours and textures next to each other. These are all things I've crocheted, the pink is a scarf, the green and purple a collar and the black and white a cowl.)
(One of the faerie creatures I've seen lately, he comes from the forests and visits when everything is very still and silent. I love his face, his tiny eyes and his little red nose)
(My favourite spot in my treatment room, sitting in my rocking chair. The pillow is super cute, I found it for £3!)
(I've recently relisted my Self-Love and Self-Acceptance Balm back into the shop after a long time. It usually sells out before I manage to get any into the shop, so I'm really excited to have it to offer again!)
