Snow Fae
The weather has been terribly cold recently, we started getting snow a couple of days ago and it has not really stopped since! Usually when it's really cold I just put trousers on to go out but I wanted to bring a bit more sparkle to the world today so I dressed up more ^_^ it was also a good oppotunity to take outfit pictures which I haven't done in a while.
Layering tights under socks is a good way to keep warmer in dresses during the cold, layering tops helps too.
I finished my novel last night so posting should become a lot more frequent again!
The book is 'The Secret' which is about the Law of Attraction, I really highly recommend you to read it or watch the film of it.
A little spider puppet I bought at Halloween, I think he is super cute ^^
The garden isn't used much at the moment which means it has perfect snow out there.
I put silver glitter in my hair and inside my locket, now I can take a little sparkle with me wherever I go.
Outfit rundown:
Dress, Rose Cardigan, Shoes: Primark
Hair Bow: Taken off a hat and made into a hairclip
Tights: Vintage fair
Socks: Very old
Key and Locket necklaces: Vintage fair
Here is Mr Spider being ever so dashing.
He likes roses!
Good Evening my sugar dumplings,
I am getting so excited for Christmas now! I suddenly feel in the holiday spirit and ready to kick back and relax with family and friends. I have my 21st birthday coming up too on the 4th of January, I can't believe it! I'm still wondering what to do for my birthday, last year I had a Very Happy Unbirthday Party... maybe this year it should be an Extremely Happy Unbirthday!
I finished my NaNoWriMo novel last night at 51,550 words, I'm so happy! It is my first time winning and I'm so glad I took part, it was a really great activity for November and also made me a lot more productive in my every day life. I have done a lot of work this month aside from my novel including school work, knitting and setting up my shop.
I finish my first half of my last year at University in three weeks and I really cannot believe it has gone so fast. I finish in May... that means I have 5 months left at most, not even taking out other holidays like Easter. I'm going to be out in the adult world soon and I still feel like I'm a kid! It's a little scary but I'm also looking forward to my future.

Things I am Thankful For
Good Evening my sugar dumplings ^^
Today is Thanksgiving in America, as I'm sure many of you know! We don't follow the traditions here in the UK but I don't think there is ever a time when we can't be thankful for something, no matter what day it is. So I thought I would post a few things I am grateful for right now.
2. Having an amazing boyfriend who loves me and supports me every day. I could not wish for a better one.
3. Having a wonderful group of friends both in real life and online who I can always talk to and have fun with. It is so good to have a like minded group and to not feel lonely or sad for want of company.
4. The challenge of NaNoWriMo which has encouraged me to write nearly 50,000 words on a novel, I'm at 43,000 right now!
5. All the tutorials online that I used to teach myself crochet because now I feel that I am at a level where I can sell my work, people will enjoy what I make and I can start to make money.
6. My rats who I love very much. They have brightened up every single day just by doing the little silly things they do.
7. My parents, who always believe in and encourage me in whatever endevours I choose. I have never been told to quit or give up on anything that I wanted to do and I am extremely thankful for that.
8. I am grateful for my good health this year. I have had some ups and downs, as we all do, but generally I have been much healthier this year than I have previously.
9. My work as an acupuncturist. I have met some amazing people, both those on my course, herbalists and my patients. My patients tell me amazing stories that just baffle me sometimes and I love to see them smiling and laughing in my treatment room as they improve each week. My classmates have taught me so many things about treating patients, not just on the technical level but also on a spiritual level. I have learnt a lot on this course and I really think that it has made me a better person. I am going to be truly sad when I finish in May.
10. I am really, truly thankful for all the people out there who are promoting happiness, who are spreading a message of love and acceptance with a song in their heart, who are encouraging people to love themselves and to be themselves. All the blogs, all the websites, all the news stories of people standing up for what they believe in, standing up for those who need support and generally spreading the message that we can all be kind to one another.
11. I am thankful for everybody who reads this blog, from the bottom of my heart. I am thankful to be surrounded by so many wonderful people here, for you are all so lovely and sweet and say such good things that it just makes my heart light up. Thank you for continuing to read and I hope that you will continue to enjoy this blog as it goes into it's second year.
I hope you have all had a wonderful day.

Adventures on Lincoln's Steep Hill
Today Steven, our friend Ben and I met up at the top of Steep Hill to take a look at some sewing shops, go to a fancy butchers and have lunch.
In my opinion Steep Hill is a really beautiful area of Lincoln, it has a lot of old fashioned shops with lovely shopfronts, though it is incredibly steep (hence the name I suppose!)
I've been wanting to go and take photos up there almost all year so I finally took my camera up today.
There is a wonderful old fashioned sweet shop close to the bottom of the hill called Goodie's, I did a post with lots of photos of the interior and all the lovely sweets they sell HERE.
I love this shop, it sells candles, incense, tarot cards, runes... all sorts of things! I get all my fairy dust from here ^^
I went and kicked through that big pile of leaves right after I took this photo.
A vintage shop selling clothes and all sorts, I love that old wedding dress! Steven is rather taken with it too.
Doesn't it look just lovely inside?
The view of the Cathedral from below, no pictures can do justice to just how tall it is.
I think Sheep Dip wins the title for 'oddest Whiskey name ever'
Steven was very excited to be under such a magnificent ark, as I'm sure you can see!
I enjoy the subtle Salvador Dali reference in this display, to the far right.
