Good afternoon my sweetlings, I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend and getting up to lots of magical mischief!
This week has been so busy that it almost feels that I've skipped from Monday to Sunday all in one go. Time is just carrying itself away from me at the moment it seems, I want to capture it again. Maybe if I set a trap... I wonder what time likes to eat? Apart from more time of course, what a strange thought.
Yesterday I cooked a meal for Steven for the first time since I moved in here, before that the only thing I had cooked was a bacon sandwhich! Steven usually does all the cooking so I thought it was my turn ^^ I made a Beef Stir Fry which was very tasty. I bought a big piece of Ginger to cut up for the meal but I still have a lot left, I'm really tempted to try making some Ginger Tea, it's really good for you. I learnt recently in school that Ginger is warming so it's good to take when you have a Cold condition and it gets Energy moving around properly, it's really good for you.
I also learnt that if you have a Cold condition you should drink Orange juice because it is warming but not Apple juice because that is cooling, so vice versa if you have a hot condition you should drink Apple juice. I love learning things like this, just little pieces of information that you can apply to the every day and it's so interesting to learn.
In other news I am so glad it's sunny almost every day here now at least for a little while, it's given us the opportunity to start getting out in the garden again and Steven is so excited and happy to get his hands dirty again, it really is adorable to see. The other day he came to pick me up from school which he has been doing this week due to school stress, he had bags of flowers and when we got home he pulled them out, he had got me 5 little pots of flowers, Bluebells, Narcissus and others with complex names. He is such a sweet darling.
It's Mother's Day today, I'm making a gift for my mum to give to her when my parents come to visit on Tuesday. I've actually been working on a little DIY project recently which I'm excited to show once I've done a bit more.
I also really like that Mother's Day is in Spring when all the flowers are starting to appear, the trees are budding and the baby animals are being born, it seems so apt as though the Earth itself is waking up. I love the image of Mother Earth, I hope we can go outside today and play in the garden and give her some attention too.
Yesterday we went to the British Heart Foundation furniture shop, Steven and I love going in there together to look at all the things because it's really very cheap in there and they have some amazing pieces. I found a Blanket Box for £10, I want to get it so badly, I would paint it with stripes and stars and keep dresses or toys in it. It would be so magical to have a dress box like in the olden days or a toy box because I still love playing with toys.
In other news my friend Jaz is starting up an e-zine and has asked me to contribute! I'm so excited to take part with her, she is one of my oldest and dearest friends so it will be great fun. More information on that in the future ♥
I was trying out all the different settings of my camera yesterday and taking pictures of Steven, I love how the lighting came out on these, he looks so soft.
This is a tradition of ours although I can't really explain it xD it involves being a tree.
Uh Oh Mud Slinging!
I love watching him garden because he loves it so much, his enthusiasm and love for it just shines through so strongly.
I planted some bulbs also ^^
This is literally the ^_^ face isn't it? It really makes me giggle.
I love this dress, isn't it beautiful? Steven says I dress like a friendly witch xDD
